Facts about Motor Vehicle Deaths in CT

From the Department of Public Health:

Fairfield county has the lowest motor vehicle death rate per 100,000 residents; Windham, Litchfield, and New London counties have the highest.

Almost 40% of all MV deaths were individuals between the ages of 15 and 29.

Conversely, individuals over the age of 75 also had higher than average rates of MV death.

Non-hispanic whites and blacks death rates are 2.5 times higher than that of other racial/ethnic categories.
