Driver was speeding, with no headlights when he ran a red light, crashed into a vehicle, then hit Anthony, and a friend who was also seriously injured. The 17 year old driver fled but was later caught and charged with second-degree manslaughter, evading an accident with death, reckless driving, driving without a license, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, operating without insurance and misuse of plates.

UPDATE September 2010: The driver who killed Anthony has pled guilty to second-degree manslaughter and second-degree assault and is expected to be sentenced to ten years in prison.
