February 2010 Update:
The driver of the vehicle, Brian Peeler, has been arrested for 2nd degree manslaughter. He was drunk and racing, according to police.
Peeler's attorney, quoted in the New Haven Register: “It’s an absolute tragedy for all concerned. The Peeler family has expressed its sincere condolences to the family of Michelle DiVicino. We’ll look to resolve this case in a way that is fair to all parties.”
