Update: Stamford police have arrested 20-year old Jamie Mejia for second-degree manslaughter. His blood alcohol level was 10x the legal limit when he was driving the car that crashed into Miriam Vega's vehicle.
Driver put on suicide watch.
Jamie Mejia is being charged with disorderly conduct, third-degree assault, second-degree strangulation and second-degree unlawful restraint in a separate domestic incident.
Update December 2010: Jamie Mejia has been sentenced to 4 years in prison for vehicular manslaughter and second-degree assault.
